Biographical Information
Dr. Harold Avila graduated from the Orthodontic Residency and Dental School at Loma Linda University in California. He has always had a knack for fixing things, learning early in his life to find the most basic cause of problems. After being frustrated by not being able to provide relief to his patients having TMD/Facial Pain, he jettisoned the traditional TMD treatment protocol of “Diagnostic Phase”, “Treatment Phase” and “Stabilization Phase”. He developed a streamlined treatment protocol typically using less than 20 minutes of Doctor time. Since 1999 he has used this protocol with an 87% success rate in providing TMD/Facial pain relief for his patients. He has treated over 700 TMD patients and read more than 3,000 TMJ tomograms. He is passionate in his desire to share this unique view of existing TMD/Facial pain information with his colleagues.
