Creating the dental dream team doesn’t happen by chance but it is a well-orchestrated process that begins with clear understanding of your mission, vision and goals. Lack of clarity leads many dentists to hire less than effective teams and endure years of frustration. Using examples from my own experience in the dental field and the experience of purchasing and training a new dog, I will help participants understand the importance of having a clear vision of who would be most beneficial for their practice. Included are tips on finding and training a highly effective dental team.

During thirty years of private practice in Kelso, WA, I managed to not only survive but flourish during extremely difficult economic times, by incorporating sound business models that I observed in successful businesses. My fascination with business led me to pursue an MBA. Through consistent viral marketing, effective external marketing and community involvement, I developed a strong brand for a highly recognized business in the community. I learned how to hire and train team members who literally became “dental team rock stars” and enabled me to concentrate my energy on the important tasks of doing quality dentistry and brand building.
